The competition was for the revitalisation of the Festival Wing of the Southbank Centre; the Hayward Gallery, the Queen Elizabeth Hall (QEH) and Purcell Room. The brief was to design of a ‘masterplan’ to transform the buildings and immediate surroundings of the Royal Festival Hall, the Hayward Gallery, the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Purcell Room.
