The Paros Stone sofa is an ode to Marble. Using a combination of chiselling, hammering, and sandblasting, the sofa combines the various textures that make stone such a versatile and timeless material. Placed on a neutral white base, the seat of the sofa consists of a thin chiselled slab with a hammered inset for the seater pillows. The hammered texture provides a material richness, as well as increased traction to avoid the pillow sliding when in use. The back of the sofa combines both industrial and manual processes, as it is sandblasted and then the edges are broken by hand so that each piece is unique and emphasizes the touch of the craftsman.
